Benefiting Hope For The Homeless
Saturday, November 30th | 9 AM – 1 PM at Mountain Park Church
16461 S 48th St., Phoenix, AZ 85048
It’s 76 degrees and sunny, so hanging out with the local car crowd is the best place to escape and enjoy one of my favorite passions: cars!
Earlier today, the Goodman Taylor Team and Precision Auto Body presented the Sixth Annual Ahwatukee Car Show, a charity event that provides hope for the homeless.
It’s the biggest car show so far. This is my tenth local show in the Phoenix/Mesa Valley and, by far, the largest show to date! I feasted my eyes on a spectacular display of over six hundred classic, vintage, and modern cars of every make and style. This show was huge; there was something for everyone, from elegant coaches, rare supercars, and sleek sports cars to powerful muscle cars, rat rods, military trucks, and everything in between! These cars’ vibrant colors and polished finishes were a sight to behold, making them a feast for the eyes and the senses.
People came out in droves for this show. Family and friends enjoyed a day filled with stunning automobiles and delicious food trucks. There were several food choices on hand. I enjoyed a fantastic burger with truffle fries from the SoCal Vibrations rolling kitchen. I hope to cross paths with these guys again because they rock! All the food trucks seemed to be doing well, with no shortage of hungry customers.
Whether you’re a car aficionado or appreciate the beauty of these machines, the Ahwatukee Car Show was the perfect way to spend the day. I arrived early and stayed for the entire event — about four-and-a-half hours. Even at that, it was impossible to see every car. I did my best, though, to photograph as many cool ones as I could. Scroll below to check out my 210+ pics (the most of any car show to date). Click here to see previous Arizona car show posts and pics.
As the day wrapped up, the cars rolled out, and attendees left with smiles, sharing stories of their favorite cars and eagerly anticipating next year’s event. I, too, am looking forward to their next car show.
HOPE for the Homeless Inc. raffled off a new 2024 Ford Mustang Convertible. Vintage or new, a Mustang is always a classic. Every dollar raised supports the organization’s mission to help the homeless.
HOPE (Humbly Offering Positive Encouragement) for the Homeless’s mission is to make a lasting impact on the homeless throughout Arizona. They shine a light in their community by feeding the hungry, meeting the homeless in their recovery journey, and loving them for who they are and where they are.
