A Bespoke 2022
As we wrap up an old (and tired) year, I can’t help but be excited for what lies ahead. 2021 was my year to return to the studio. I’m back at the easel with a renewed vision and a deeper passion for creating new art!

Another museum has signed on to host the Luster Exhibition. The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse Bay, MI, is scheduled to host The LUSTER Exhibit from June 11 through September 3, 2023.
LUSTER: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Paintings Exhibit at Lyman Allyn Art Museum, Oct 23, 2021 – Jan 2, 2022.
Luster: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Painting, is an exhibition comprised of over 55 paintings by 15 artists who through their photo-realistic and hyper-realistic work share their adoration for the sensuous line and shimmering surfaces of motorized vehicles.
The work of 2020 Texas Fashion Designer Nick Perez made jaws drop along the runway while LUSTER adorned the walls. June 10th marked the return of the Artageeous Hells and Wheels event, a Rock n’ Rollin celebration of the fast, the fierce and the fashion. The annual summer event was a car, fashion and drag show all rolled into one, as well as a concert with headliner Jackie Venson.
The LUSTER Exhibit opened on June 1st, 2021, at the fabulous Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi with A.D. Cook motorcycle paintings.
From the Desk of David J. Wagner, Curator/Tour Director I am pleased to announce that LUSTER has been scheduled at The Museum of the Rockies, an outstanding museum in Bozeman.
Fridays 1 PM to 6 PM, Saturdays 10 AM to 6 PM, Sundays 1 PM to 4 PM FREE TO THE PUBLIC FACE MASKS REQUIRED SOCIAL DISTANCING OBSERVED.
It’s like a homecoming, in a round about sort of way. Springfield, Massachusetts, is after all, where the original Indian motorcycles were manufactured from 1901 to 1953, making Springfield the home of America’s first motorcycle. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
I love timelines. When it comes to telling a story with pictures, I can think of no better way to show the progression of something. This website’s Art Creation Timeline maps A.D. Cook’s artworks, murals, and paintings from 1988 to now. I want to suggest that it is a complete listing, but it’s only a sampling of my favorite pieces.
