In late June I was privileged to spend an afternoon with a great group of enthusiastic up-and-coming artists. With paintbrushes in hand, these colorful artists created a collection of original paintings made available for viewing and adding to your collection this Saturday.
My recent trip to Canada was inspired. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to suggest that I returned home inspired. Either way, it was a blast, and I have my friends at BIM to thank for my renewed vision, eh?
Years ago, when I moved my life and studio from Portland to Las Vegas, I left behind a collection of paintings wrapped and safely stored in a climate-controlled storage facility. Among those pieces were a couple of very special paintings that haven’t seen the light of day in years.
For all I know art was borne in the first place as a result of the great feminine beauty that has inspired artists for ages. After all, amazing goddesses have graced artists’ canvases and have been depicted in epic artworks for eternity.
I love figurative art – especially art nudes. There is no secret in that here. I’ve been painting the nude on canvas and metal for over a decade now. But many might not realize that I, like many, have been a fan of figurative art since I was young.
Last night was another incredible evening of art and celebration at ArtisticLifestyles Gallery in Las Vegas.
I’m excited to announce that I have signed with ArtisticLifestyles contemporary fine art galleries in Las Vegas and San Diego.
It seems a year hasn’t gone by since I haven’t created some form of artwork from my creative session with muse Liz Ashley a while back. 2013 is no exception. Introducing “Bliss.”
I just finished and signed this afternoon (2/14/13), my newest creation, Valentine, celebrates the spirit of love.
Nudity in art has been debated since the beginning of time. After all, the unclothed human figure is an important genre in art, as it has been beautifully featured throughout history since ancient times.
For many of us, this was a fun-filled and interesting year. Memorable for sure. I know it was for me. That may be why 2012 was (and still is) such a creative year. I started mine off creatively and am wrapping it up in like fashion. It’s all about art.
