Friday, January 10th, marked my seventh visit to the East Valley Cruisers Cruise-In in Mesa, AZ. These shows keep improving with more cars each week.
After enjoying a few hours at Highline Cars and Coffee on the far side of town, I decided to trek a few miles south for the Gilbert Cars & Coffee, which I hadn’t been to since early November. While I arrived a bit late for the full crowd, vehicles of every design were on hand at the Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers (aka CBCB), formerly the Famous 66 American Tavern at 1026 S. Gilbert Rd. in Gilbert, AZ.
I’ve been to many car shows over the years, but this is one of the few events that I will remember vividly for quite a while. The Highline Autos Cars & Coffee car show at High Street in Phoenix exceeded my expectations and brought me far more joy and excitement than I ever hoped to experience.
It could not have been a more perfect morning for a car show. The sun was out, and the soft clouds with a gentle haze created ideal photography lighting for the beautiful beasts and sleek rides adorning the parking lot.
Car enthusiasts and hot rodders alike showed up in support of the Hope For The Homeless sock drive and the Tempe Cars & Coffee gathering on Saturday, December 28th, from 8 AM to 10 AM at The Buzzed Goat Tempe.
Friday afternoon marked my fifth visit to the East Valley Cruisers Cruise-In in Mesa, AZ. My prior visits to the car show resulted in lots of great photos. This post includes dozens of awesome photos of everything from old street rods and classics from the last two shows.
I had heard about the Tempe Festival of the Arts but had never been. That all changed today when my local artist friend, NASH, invited me to join him for a stroll through the festival to meet some fellow artists.
The Goodman Taylor Team & Precision Auto Body Presents The Ahwatukee Car Show, a charity even benefitting hope for the homeless. What a great car show! I feasted my eyes on a spectacular display of over six hundred classic, vintage, and modern cars. This show was so huge; there was something for everyone, from sleek sports cars to powerful muscle cars, rat rods, and everything in between!
Today, I posted over sixty-five awesome pictures of everything from old street rods and classics. If you’ve been following my car show posts, you may have seen a few of these cars already, but there are plenty of new vehicles to see since the Valley is robust in cars with no shortage of stunning examples of every variety.
The Gilbert Cars & Coffee was probably the most diverse car show I’ve been to in a long while, maybe ever. Vehicles of every design were on hand at the Famous 66 American Tavern, 1026 S. Gilbert Rd. in Gilbert, AZ. It doesn’t matter what you like; it was there — hot rods, rat rods, bugs, sports cars, and a few Hummer military rigs.
Yesterday was perfect—the weather was excellent, and the setting was spectacular for a spectacular car show in Gold Canyon. There were plenty of unique cars and trucks, food, vendors, a raffle, T-shirts, music, family photos, and trick-or-treating for the kids.
I first visited the East Valley Cruisers Cruise-In just two weeks ago. It was only their second weekend of the season, and the previous Friday was drenched in rain, so that was a no-go for me. However, my first experience with their club on October 11th proved worthwhile, even though the temperatures were still over a hundred degrees. I was told the cars and crowds would grow as the season cooled, so I remained optimistic. Today, my optimism paid off.
Yesterday’s Spooktacular 9th Annual Car Show, hosted by the Desert Corvette Association, showcased an impressive collection of classic vehicles, hot rods, and a variety of Corvettes in its highly regarded judged car show, which has become a much-anticipated event in the automotive community.
