Last week, I posted in my blog that it’s always fun to post art from the past. Over the last few days, I’ve added three large original paintings from 1993-94 and an illustration from 1988.
Last week, I posted in my blog that it’s always fun to post art from the past. Over the last few days, I’ve added three large original paintings from 1993-94 and an illustration from 1988.
Created in 1993, this original painting on canvas has been in a climate-controlled archive for the last decade. Recently discovered and offered here, this is an original one-of-a-kind painting.
For many of us, this was a fun-filled and interesting year. Memorable for sure. I know it was for me. That may be why 2012 was (and still is) such a creative year. I started mine off creatively and am wrapping it up in like fashion. It’s all about art.
Created in beautiful pearl metallic blues over a hand brushed pearl base layered on a specially-prepared canvas surface. Metallic mediums mixed into my paints create a glistening effect with the changing light, creating a new experience with each viewing.
View the painting in process. Just finished today, November 30, 2012. Special thanks to Tim Catching.
Just wrapping up Nirvana. She’s signed and ready to hang. I’ll look forward to an unveiling soon. Meanwhile, watch my site for the video and Blog post. Cheers!
It’s always a great day when I can create in the studio and enjoy fantastic live music at the same time. My buddy Tim is a hugely talented writer, singer and musician so I’m always honored when he stops by with a guitar. Today was one of those days. He jammed. I painted. Always a great vibe.
I am enjoying some quality time with my newest painting – Nirvana. It’s still days from finished. Everything is down to details now.
The Fletcher Jones Mercedes VIP Unveiling was great, thanks to DSM Luxury Las Vegas. I always enjoy quality time with collectors and friends. Thanks to everyone who joined us. Cheers!
Tenacity is another word for determination. It means starting something and finishing it.
And then there’s talent, defined as “a natural endowment or ability of superior quality,” most commonly referred to or mentioned in the competition.
Owning original art is an enjoyable experience. Participating in its creation brings that experience to a whole different level. Collaboration in the creation of art is a union of energies – a creative energy exchange.
Sometimes it’s fun to reflect back on an era past. During my five years (1989 – 1994) as Hollywood Video’s creative director and resident artist I created over a hundred hand-painted wall murals – most measuring upwards of ten feet tall.
