Las Vegas Corvette Association Car Show

The Las Vegas Corvette Association recently marked a major milestone as it commemorated fifty years of existence. In what turned out to be a truly remarkable showcase, the association exhibited a wide range of sixty (give or take a few) Corvettes that spanned seven decades of America’s Sports Car’s illustrious existence.

My Elysian Dream

I’m excited to share something new from the studio and a departure regarding my figurative metal creations. ELYSIAN DREAM started as a simple little sketch over a cold beer. I must have been drawn to the shapes because I sketched them several times over a few sessions before finally power grinding and sanding metal and beginning to paint. But once I got started, the artwork flowed like a dream.

After-Party to Zedonk

The Merriam-Webster Time Traveler tells you when a word was first used in print. I also love its other feature, the “Select a Year” button, where you can enter any year and see what words were published that year.

Are You A Polymath?

So, what is a polymath? A Polymath is defined as someone who excels in multiple fields of knowledge. Today, we might refer to that person as a “jack of all trades” — and some might suggest “a master of none.” I have to laugh at the master of none thought. I believe that a polymath is a person of many talents who also masters a few along the way.

Momentum in Action

Most dictionaries define momentum as motion or a series of events and speak of mass and velocity. My new art in the studio is all of that! An Eternal Time Out

My musically gifted friend, Bonzai Caruso, sent me a soothing rhythmic tune that I wanted to share with you. This relaxing music, he suggested, compliments my latest metal artwork, ETERNAL, so I felt it only fitting to create a short video with both sight and sound — an eyes-wide-open meditative experience.

Cars & Coffee Las Vegas 10/7/23

It was a fantastic morning for this week’s Celebrity Cars & Coffee. The fresh air, clear skies, and perfect temperature inspired me to include the car show in my sunrise walk, so I got there earlier than my previous visits and hung out for about an hour so, taking in all the incredible cars of every variety.

Five Fifty

It seems like only yesterday that I shared my post, The Big Five-Oh Oh!, celebrating my 500th post on the ADCook Blog, but looking back, it was about a year ago (original post date September 30, 2022). I hadn’t thought about it until now, but I have averaged about a post a week this past year.
