Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails: For Locals By Locals

Henderson, Nevada

Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails is now open in Henderson, at Eastern and W Horizon Ridge Pkwy in the outer corner of the Smith’s Center. The name alludes to the fact that the restaurant is non-gaming and allows for interactions between guests without the distraction of noisy gaming machines.

The dining room’s décor features hardwood flooring, wood tables, greenery, black and white brick walls, a long 10-seat bar, large screen TVs (one of which depicts images of ‘Old Vegas’) and large windows allowing for ample natural light and a bright and cheerful atmosphere.

This is the second venture of Leverage Hospitality Group by Las Vegas restaurant hospitality industry veterans Kelley Jones, Todd Parmelee and Steve Mannino, all of whom live within six minutes of Social Station. The restaurant’s tagline is “for locals by locals” referencing as Kelley Jones said, “As longtime residents of Vegas for over 25 years, our vision for Social Station is to become Henderson’s favorite neighborhood spot, where locals can relax, savor delicious food and connect with loved ones.” Head Chef Jake Aceto added, In creating our menu, we engaged directly with the Henderson community, asking locals what dishes they look for in their neighborhood restaurant. Their input guided us to craft a menu that truly offers something for everyone, whether you’re craving familiar favorites or eager to explore new flavors.”

Lunch and dinner are served seven days a week. The menu features elevated American comfort food fare including Reuben Egg Rolls with smoked Thousand Island, Roasted Portobello Sandwich with truffle honey and Boursin, Beef Bourguignon (an upgraded beef stew) with mashed potatoes and red pearl onions, Shrimp Street Tacos with sesame and lime, Carrot Hummus & Lamb Sausage with feta and pita and ½ Roasted Chicken with panzanella salad and chicken jus that is large enough to feed a small army.

Brunch is offered on weekends with a menu of favorites like Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast topped with egg and house-made everything spice, Steak & Eggs drizzled in chimichurri sauce, Vanilla French Toast infused with vanilla and blackberry compote and Caprese Frittata with creamy fresh mozzarella and arugula salad.

Desserts include Tiramisu, Crème Brulee, Skillet Cookie Salted Caramel Crunch and homemade Powdered Sugar Donuts with raspberry sauce.

Complementing the fare are specialty cocktails such as the Anthem Sour with Old Forester 100 proof bourbon, demerara syrup, lemon juice and float of Spanish dry red wine; a wine list with seven by the glass priced from $9-$12 such as La Crema Pinot Noir; and a beer list featuring several local beers like Big Dog’s Las Vegas Lager and CraftHaus Resinate IPA.

The incredibly reasonable price points are well worth noting. Appetizers range from $7-$15, salads $11-$12, sandwiches $13-$15 and entrees $14-$27. Even deeper discounts can be enjoyed during happy hour Mon-Fri from 2-5 p.m. offering 20% off appetizers, ½ off wine and draft beer and $3 well drinks.

Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails is open daily from 11:30 and the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. Sun-Thu and 10 p.m. Fri-Sat. Weekend brunch is served Sat-Sun from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
