National Pump / Southwest Pipe
In my continued discovery of ARTifacts of forgotten art and memories, I tripped across a photo of a mural I painted back in 1981 hidden away in my creative time capsule. I recently shared a few Hollywood Video mural pics from the first store in Vancouver, Washington.Â
Finding these photos brought back some great memories. I was surprised at the time even to get this project. I was only twenty years old when a representative from an art gallery in Scottsdale saw a couple of murals I had painted for a tanning salon and asked me to paint one for the National Pump Company in Glendale, Arizona. This was one of my first professional airbrushed murals, painted about seven years before Hollywood Video was even a thing, and paved the way for many great mural projects to follow.
