From the smallest details of daily life to grand, sweeping structures, design surrounds and enhances us at every turn. Good design can improve functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in buildings, products, and services. Whether it’s the sleek lines of a sports car or the thoughtful layout of a park, good design inspires and uplifts use. It is an art that blends creativity with functionality and enhances the quality of our lives.
Over the past few years, I’ve inadvertently created a collection of artworks that has fondly become my America First Series. It’s a small series of epic paintings of America’s Sports Car and American iron – aka Haley-Davidson and Indian motorcycle. Several of my America First creations include an American flag as part of the prevailing theme.
Hey there! Did you know that World Art Day falls on April 15th every year? Art means different things to people, depending on culture, ethnicity, upbringing, and personal preferences. This day is about cultivating art appreciation and inspiring folks to notice the endless beauty and creativity around them. It’s a great excuse to take a break from our busy lives and appreciate the world through a different lens.
Classic T-shirts and beautiful cars are always in fashion. Since unveiling my latest epic car painting, MOMENTUM, I’ve been asked if I offered shirts featuring the paintings. While I’m not in the apparel biz, my friends at TeesPDQ can print great images on almost anything. With that in mind, they’re offering a selection of T-shirts in various sizes, from small to double-XL in black, gray, or white.
On April 8, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. While many parts of the country are excited about the Solar Eclipse 2024, Las Vegas will get a less-fulfilling version. Or, as a thought, you could fill your eyes with beauty, no protective eyewear required.
Okay, I have to admit, while I am an old-school artist at heart, I am also somewhat of a geek. So, when an AI app came across my radar, suggesting it could help artists write descriptions of their art, I was curious.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM, so lately the big questions I get asked are “What is it like?” and “What did I like most about the museum?”
In this week’s post, Bob shares updates on The Cantina by El Dorado, Locale Italian Kitchen, Emmitt’s Vegas, Happy Camper Pizza, La Strega, and more.
One of the big questions that often arises from collectors and museum docents is, “What is the difference between realism and hyperrealism art vs. photorealism art?” I love that question because it involves distinct differences, often blurred and blended.
What’s Pouring in April – Craft Brewers Conference, The World Beer Cup, Triple 7, Cin-Cin Brewhouse, Boulder Dam Brewing, North 5th Brewing, HUDL, and more updates from Bob Barnes.
I’ve just updated the Car & Motorcycle Artwork Gallery on this website and all its connecting artworks. The completion and addition of CREATION and EVOLUTION (my recent 4 ft. x 10 ft. Corvette diptych, aka MOMENTUM) brings my fuel-passioned works to an even dozen, a collection of four epic sports car paintings and eight motorcycle portraits.
