Lake Charles, LA
With the passing of the LUSTER Exhibition at the National Corvette Museum, as they say, “All things move on.”Â
Recently, the LUSTER: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Paintings exhibit featuring fifty-five paintings by fifteen artistsÂ
arrived in culturally rich Lake Charles, Louisiana, just in time for its three-month stay at the Historic City Hall Arts And Cultural Center from February 1 through April 30, 2025.
LUSTER is an exhibit dedicated to the raw beauty of cars and motorcycles, captured in extraordinary detail. This art collection focuses on what we admire, showcasing the lines, textures, and craftsmanship that make these machines timeless. Each piece invites you to appreciate the engineering and design in a way that’s as real as it gets.

Next up, Las Cruces
Following Lake Charles, the LUSTER exhibit will tour The Las Cruces Museum of Art in New Mexico for display from May 23 through August 16, 2025.
The Long Run...
With LUSTER currently at Lake Charles, its nineteenth venue, Las Cruces, will wrap up the museum tour, initially set for a two-year run, now in its seventh year. Las Cruces will celebrate the LUSTER exhibition’s 20th venue since its launch in 2018.
But not to get ahead of ourselves, both museums hosting LUSTER through 2025 are epic venues, and I am honored to be included. But the word is that Las Cruces may be the final stay in the tour’s seven-year run. And August is still a ways off so that another venue may present itself. Either way, It’s been an incredible ride so far. Stay tuned for updates.
