Robert Irvine’s Public House

Robert Irvine’s Public House Closing

The Tropicana Las Vegas, which first opened in 1957, will close on April 2 as it is slated to be demolished to make way for the $1.5 billion baseball stadium that will be the new home of the relocating Oakland Athletics.

With the demise of the historic resort comes the closure of a handful of restaurants, most notably Robert Irvine’s Public House. The celebrity chef’s gastropub opened in 2017 and was known for serving comfort food options (including pizza, sliders, ribs and fish & chips) inspired by Chef Irvine’s culinary travels from around the world in a pub-like atmosphere.

Also closing at the Tropicana are the high-end Oakville Tuscan Grill steakhouse and the quick-serve Red Lotus Asian Kitchen.
