Restaurant Opening
Happy Camper Pizza is now open at the Fashion Show Mall. The restaurant and bar is the first collaboration between Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants and Chicago-based restaurant group Happy Hospitality.
The new location captures both a feel of the outdoors and nostalgia, as it is decked out in disco balls, artificial turf, red neon lights, an actual vintage camper, retractable roof, heaters, hanging golden string lights, greenery, fire pits, cabanas and communal seating. There are also several TVs throughout.
The “Happytizers” section of the menu, meant for sharing, includes Queso Elote Dip, Mozzarella Breadsticks, Chicken Wings, Chicken Nachos and Whipped Feta.
The Not Pizza menu offers the Big Happy Burger, a double smash burger with American cheese, 1000 island, griddled onions, shredded lettuce, dill pickle & fries; Baja Fish Tacos with chipotle crema, coleslaw, pico de gallo, queso fresco and chips & salsa; and the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl with sticky rice, edamame, avocado, green onion, yum yum sauce, furikake and crispy wontons.
The pizza menu includes a dozen pizzas made on either Happy Camper’s signature dough made in-house daily, which is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside; or tavern-style, which is extra thin, crispy and comes square cut. Varieties include several non-traditional pizzas like BBQ Chicken, Prosciutto & Spinach, Chicken Ranch, Mediterranean and Street Corn. A gluten-free crust option is also available.
The beverage menu has cleverly-named concoctions like the Big Ass Lemonade (32 oz of pink lemonade and vodka), Pink Flamingo (tequila, pama, lime, soda and jalapeño) and Trailer Park Queen (prosecco, elderflower and lemon); and more than a dozen beers including the locally-made Able Baker Atomic Duck IPA, Bad Beat High Society Pilsner and Big Dog’s Tailwagger Wheat and Las Vegas Lager.
Happy Hour is offered Monday-Thursday from 3-6 p.m. with $8 wines by the glass, $9 select cocktails, $5 select drafts, and Hummus Plate and Jalapeno Homies (jalapeno poppers filled with cream cheese, bacon, cheddar, tomato and a side of BBQ sauce) each for $5.
Happy Camper is open daily from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. for dine-in, carryout and delivery; and free parking is available in the mall’s parking garage below the restaurant.
