In Memory 1945-2022
It is with sadness that I share the passing of fellow automotive artist, Kris Preslan, of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
An accomplished watercolor artist, Kris enjoyed creating realistic paintings of animals, vistas, cars, and her memories of Europe. As a fan of her art, I knew her as a participating artist in the LUSTER: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Paintings traveling museum exhibit, where a selection of her magnificent paintings are currently represented.

"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more."

Kris Preslan, a watercolor artist, is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, and others.
Her favorite subjects are landscapes, but more importantly, she strives to paint with intense pigments and a wide range of values, often capturing through vibrant realism the memories of places she has been and to which she hopes to return.
“If I could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint.”
— Edward Hopper
