Hope For The Homeless Sock Drive
It could not have been a more perfect morning for a car show. The sun was out, and the soft clouds with a gentle haze created ideal photography lighting for the beautiful beasts and sleek rides adorning the parking lot.
Car enthusiasts and hot rodders alike showed up in support of the Hope For The Homeless sock drive and the Tempe Cars & Coffee gathering on Saturday, December 28th, from 8 AMÂ to 10 AM at The Buzzed Goat Tempe, 3425 S McClintock Dr., Tempe, AZ 85282.
Buzzed Goat Coffee Company in Tempe was the place for fantastic coffee, cool cars, and automotive enthusiasts. As an avid coffee drinker, my hot Americano was a great way to kick off my morning. Of course, coffee with a beautiful smile is all the warmer. Model Brea was serving up both. So, with coffee in one hand and camera in the other, I set out to get some early shots as cars rolled in.
Over the following two hours, I shot dozens of photos of the fifty+ cars, chatted with car folks, and even made time for an steaming Chicago hot dog with all the toppings.
All in all, a perfect morning. Scroll below for dozens of pics.
HOPE for the Homeless is (Humbly Offering Positive Encouragement). Their mission is to make a lasting impact on the homeless throughout Arizona. They shine light in our community by feeding the homeless who are hungry, meeting the homeless in their recovery journey, and loving the homeless for who they are and where they are.
You can help support Hope For The Homeless and win this cool ’79 Chevy Square Body Pickup. Raffle tickets are only $25 each, five for $100 or twelve for $200. And for only $250, you have twenty chances to win. There are only five thousand tickets offered. This is their sixth year of car raffles to help the homeless; every dollar counts! This year’s drawing is on November 29th, 2025.
