Bullrun Las Vegas 2011

Lamborghini exotics and Las Vegas go together like pretty ladies and Champagne. And of course, Las Vegas has all that… and more, in spades. Maybe that’s why Las Vegas, NV was the official launch point for the 2011 Bullrun Live Rally, the most glamorous and high profile of the new breed of high-end luxury lifestyle automotive rallies. Each year, a hundred of the world’s finest super-cars embark on an epic eight-day rolling party across the USA – bringing together a celebrity strewn cast of characters and petrosexuals for an unforgettable adventure – where the only obligatory goals are to party, drive, and enjoy!

Fueled by an impressive schedule of public and private events at the finest venues and hotels and in the most exciting cities in America, The Bullrunners make their way from one checkpoint to the next, learning their destinations daily, winding to a close each night in the party capitals of America.

Entry is by invitation only and Bullrun never takes more than 100 cars to make sure everyone has a good time -their parties are legendary. Registration thereafter is on a strictly first-come, first-served, basis. The rally has attracted numerous celebrities in the past and this year was no exception; Ice T, Coco, Vanilla Ice, and others were to kick it off.

In case you are thinking of driving in next year’s Bullrun, the entry fee for the Live Rally event is $20,000 per car – covering the event entry fee for two drivers, 5-star accommodation for 7 nights, first-class meals, and top-notch parties at the best venues, and Bullrun exclusive checkpoints including track events at some very famous racing circuits.

The Bullrun Live Rally is filmed by Giant Film&TV for a TV show entitled ‘Cops, Cars & Superstars.’ The show airs in 96 countries worldwide and is now in its 8th season.

My day started early when a group of us arrived at Lamborghini Las Vegas to decal cars with the famous Bullrun logos, numbers, and assorted graphics – all necessary to participate in the Bullrun Rally. All-in-all, we prettied up half-a-dozen cars, mostly of the Lamborghini variety, one Mercedes AMG, and one Rolls Royce Phantom. Once the cars were decked, we were off to the Fremont Street Experience to meet up with Bullrun participants and automotive enthusiasts.

And exotics, well this is a Lamborghini experience for sure; Murcielago, Gallardo, Diablo – all there.

Lamborghini exotics everywhere. It’s a beautiful thing.

Enjoying the view from the passenger seat of the Rolls cruising through the Fremont Street Experience. I drove the Rolls to the event, so it was only fair to experience this beautiful machine from the celebrity seat (or passenger seat if you rather). So, for the trip back, Kevin was my driver. He had no problem moving the twin-turbo V-12 through the crowd. From my perspective, it really doesn’t matter which side of the car you experience, the Phantom is great from either. And that back seat looks pretty comfortable too. Hmmm.

The MTV camera crew couldn’t resist a shot of bling… in this case “Spirit of Ecstasy” adorning the leading edge of the Rolls Royce Phantom.

Never know who you’ll meet when rubbernecking in Las Vegas.

And they’re off! They – not us. This was it for our Bullrun Journey, but a blast all the same. We headed back to Lamborgini Las Vegas with the cars while Bullrun participants headed south to Scottsdale, AZ, then off to continue their journey. Muah back ‘acha girl.

One last peek over our shoulder, the next group of cars follow. Home James… er, I mean Kevin.

Back at Lamborghini Las Vegas with the safe return of the ladies.
