Las Vegas Glass Masters
In celebration of my ongoing American Artist Appreciation Month series, I’m honoring the dynamic duo of glass art in Las Vegas. I have been a fan of their fantastic creations since discovering them and their studio about a dozen years ago, and through showing my figurative art in their beautiful gallery adjacent to the studio. Over the following years, I got to know both Larry and Barbara Domsky, and each time I visited their studio, my appreciation for their art and creative collaboration grew. Their ability to blend traditional glassblowing methods with innovative artistic concepts is genuinely remarkable, and their dedication to pushing the boundaries of glass art while maintaining a deep respect for its traditional roots sets them apart in the art world.
Artists Barbara Domsky and Larry Domsky have collaborated in art and life since their first meeting in 1990.
Both artists came from backgrounds in scenic art production, making large-scale projects a natural fit for their craftsmanship.
When they met, they had already established themselves as professional artists. Barbara worked as a professional art glass designer, and Larry was well into his career as a metal artist.
The two became instant friends. Sharing a deep fascination with fused and hot glass techniques, the pair began to invest in equipment and teach themselves the craft of glass-making as an art form.

With over 30 years of experience in their field, they have certainly mastered their craft and created an exceptionally unique life as collaborative artists.
“Every art piece we create is unique to each residence or hotel. When working with a client, we both visualize the possibilities of the space. Then, the process begins with conversation, concept, design, and fabrication. We bounce ideas off of one another on every project. The result is the collaborative effort of two artists.
We recognize that our work is unique and not for everyone unless you are looking for something unique and created to your personal style and taste.
Most of our relationships with clients turn into long-term friendships. It truly is a unique way of living and creating art, and we thoroughly enjoy sharing this with others who are drawn to the extraordinary,” says Barbara.
DG Gallery, adjacent to Domsky Glass Studio, welcomes visitors Monday through Friday between 10 am and 2 pm and by appointment outside of these days and times.

Domsky’s artwork can be seen all over Las Vegas. There are four colorful musical note sculptures at Symphony Park, a suspended sculpture at the entrance of the Las Vegas Municipal Court House, a three-story glass composition at Vegas PBS, UNLV Library, community centers, parks, and Harry Reid International Airport T3, where millions of visitors are greeted by two 90’ x 19.5’ fused glass and metal sculptures created by the duo.
Domsky Glass’s awards division custom-creates trophies, awards, and recognition gifts, and it has led the company to create custom sculptures for Gwen Stephani, Arianna Huffington, The Ladies Pro Golf Association, Andre Agassi, Chihuly, Criss Angel, Netflix Slam, and several recognizable brands and celebrities.
Using your company logo and company colors, they create custom recognition gifts, raising your brand recognition and offering you something handmade and unique for your presentation.
For those who would love to try glass making themselves, Domsky’s 10,000-square-foot studio and gallery host public workshops and glass experiences where you become the artist and create your own glass projects. Their annual calendar also includes several open house events, allowing the public to enjoy unique artistic experiences.
They also host private glass-making events for corporate parties.
