American Artist ~ Jerry Blank

Artist Jerry Blank

You would be hard-pressed to find a more prolific and versatile painter than Las Vegas artist Jerry Blank. A dedicated artist, Jerry can be found at the easel on most any given day, creating colorful and masterful artworks in a variety of subject matter. In celebration of American Artist Appreciation Month, today we’re celebrating his art and backstory.

"I love impressionism. I love a painting that looks finished, with details and full of motion but when we look at it closely, what we see are just a bunch of loose brushstrokes that sometimes just looks like an abstract. That’s how I paint. With a lot of texture and color, I’ve found a style that works for any subject or genre that I choose to capture on canvas."

Jerry Blank launched his fine art painting career in Paris, France, in 2000. Jerry’s current historical themes include The Art of Music and Sports Legends. His Art of Music series captures the movement and sounds of American beats and rhythms and its music greats throughout the decades of jazz, rock, and country music. Vibrant colors and bold strokes dominate Jerry’s canvases. Each work of art pays a symbolic and historical tribute to the immortal musical giants like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Billie Holiday, and Jerry’s Rat Pack– Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr. Other works feature Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Cash, Santana, Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin, Elvis, and John Stewart of the Kingston Trio. These highly sought-after and collected paintings capture each character and musical soul. Jerry hopes to provoke and inspire the viewers’ memory of these great artists and their music and to pique the curiosity of a younger generation with these grand salutes to these great musicians and entertainers.
