Observations and Stories of Art, Love, Lifestyle, Las Vegas, and Beyond

If you’re a regular reader of this website’s posts and updates, you probably noticed a few changes and maybe even wonder what that is all about. While this site is predominately an art site featuring my artworks and backstories, it has always been more than that. In the two-plus decades since I started blogging, I’ve posted on many subjects dear to me, including art and art, food and beverage, cars and motorcycles, and the occasional tech-inspired writing. To date, with some exceptions, I have written the vast majority of them.

The vast majority of past posts are art-related, whether my art or other artists I know and respect. I also enjoy writing about my creative lifestyle and Las Vegas experiences.

With the addition of a couple of contributing writers, Bob Barnes and Frank Mallinder, 2024 looks like a creative and diverse year of content for our visitors.

Bob Barnes began his food and beverage writing career in 1998 as a Regional Correspondent for Celebrator Beer News and wrote the Nevada Beer Nuggets column from 1998 to 2019. He was Editorial Director of The Las Vegas Food & Beverage Professional from 2012-2021 and has covered Las Vegas for Gayot since 2010. Bob continues contributing to Gayot, writing the Gayot Las Vegas Restaurant News, featuring new restaurants and beer and spirit reviews. He also writes regularly for Off The Strip, The Vegas Voice, Neon Feast, and Las Vegas Magazine.

Frank Mallinder and I go way back and have enjoyed collaborating on a few occasions over the years. Having and living your mission is a driving force in Frank’s life and his coaching. His mission is “To experience the joy of living on purpose, sharing what he learns with other seekers,” for thirty years, he has been doing just that.
