Meet The Team
I could not be more excited to share that the ADCook.com POSTS + UPDATES section is growing in 2024 with the inclusion of three very insightful contributors, each with a lifetime of knowledge and generously sharing their wisdom in the spirit of growth and development for creatives and art fans alike.
My three new contributors are all old friends who also create in a related environment or area of interest in their regard. I have a longstanding history of creativity with each of my mentors and am honored to share their knowledge and insight through their posts; each has been and continues to be a mentor in one respect or another.
The shortlist includes:
BARNEY DAVEY, Art Success Coach: This man loves coffee, dogs, anything mint, and a good joke. His beautiful wife, Mary, is his best friend. For over 30 years, he’s had the honor and pleasure of helping artists and creative entrepreneurs develop marketing plans and strategies.
Barney’s journey has taken him from art business advertising exec to author, blogger, art marketing expert, community builder, and course creator. The constant is that it aims to find the best ways to help artists live joyful, productive lives.
BOB BARNES, Las Vegas Food Writer: Bob began his food and beverage writing career in 1998 as a Regional Correspondent for Celebrator Beer News and wrote the Nevada Beer Nuggets column from 1998 to 2019. He was Editorial Director of The Las Vegas Food & Beverage Professional from 2012-2021 and has covered Las Vegas for Gayot since 2010. He continues contributing to Gayot, writing the Gayot Las Vegas Restaurant News, featuring new restaurants and beer and spirit reviews. He also writes regularly for Off The Strip, The Vegas Voice, Neon Feast, and Las Vegas Magazine.
No stranger to collaborating, Bob and I worked together on the Nevada Beer Quest brewspaper a few short years ago.
FRANK MALLINDER, Performance Coach, Author: Having and living your mission drives Frank’s life and coaching. His mission is “To experience the joy of living on purpose, sharing what he learns with other seekers,” and for thirty years, he has been doing just that.
I’ve known Frank for about a dozen years and relish his feedback on most of my projects and wild ideas. Always ready with a different perspective (and a smile), his insights will offer a fresh perspective through his posts and updates.

A.D. COOK, Artist. Designer, Dreamer of Dreams, and Maker of Things; I, alas, am the fourth musketeer honored to post alongside these noted writers, authors, and contributors. For nearly three decades, I have been posting on this website and sharing the most creative parts of my journey as a solo writer, artist, and content creator. With almost six hundred posts in my creative timeline, I look forward to adding the team’s valuable content for my readers.
While this website has never been about the volume of content, the quality of content has always been at the forefront.
